The Burns Trauma & Critical Care Research Centre offers research projects for Honours, postgraduate (Masters and PhD) and postdoctoral researchers. The Centre is also keen to support clinical staff who wish to undertake projects.

You simply couldn't pick a better place to kickstart your research career in burns, trauma and critical care-related research here in Queensland. This is because:

  • We bring together expertise in burns, trauma and critical care from across The University of Queensland and clinical partners such as Queensland Health.
  • We collaborate with research institutions worldwide to advance research in the field and ultimately, improve health outcomes for those who are critically ill, injured or burned.
  • We work alongside the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Queensland's major quaternary and tertiary referral teaching hospital to ensure our research can quickly respond to real issues in burns and critical care faced by doctors, nurses and health specialists every single day.
  • Within our team, we are privileged to have many research leaders who are available to supervise higher degree by research students.
