Professor Marianne Vonau OAM MBBS MBA FRACS

Marianne commenced at Gold Coast Health in 2014 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience in neurosurgery, trauma, paediatrics and medical education.

Marianne was the first female neurosurgeon trained in Australia and the first female to be elected President of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia. In 2011, she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for her services to medicine in the field of neurosurgery. 

She was previously the Executive Director of Critical Care and Clinical Support Services at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Director of Paediatric Neurosurgery at the Royal Children's Hospital.
