Professor Gerry Fitzgerald MD FACEM FRACMA

Gerry is Professor of Public Health at QUT, holding medical specialist qualifications in Emergency Medicine and Medical Administration and a Doctor of Medicine Degree in Emergency Department Triage. Prior to taking up his current positions, he was the Commissioner of the Queensland Ambulance Service and the Chief Health Officer for Queensland. Gerry leads educational and research programs in health and Disaster Health management. His particular research interests are in the organisation and operations of the emergency medical system both during routine operations and during disasters and has over 25 publications in the last two years.
