Our 5th Annual Heartfelt Dinner Fundraiser held on Fri 9th November was a huge success with 110 guests filling the Chelsea Room at the Mercure, North Quay. Many left with beautiful artwork, auction items and prizes generously donated by our artists and donors named below. We thank our Gold Sponor, The University of Queensland Faculty of Medicine for their generous sponsorship and thank our Table Sponsors, Mark Ward Property, Sirius Financial Management Pty Ltd and Mater Neurosciences Neuropsychiatry. Many thanks go to our artists and donors without whose kind donations we could not have raised these much needed funds.
A heartfelt thank you to Dale Trevor, our patient speaker who gave an inspiring talk about his burns injury and treatment and the RBWH and how our research has had a positive impact on his life and to Martha Druery, our PhD researcher who spoke about her vital research into the long-term psychosocial aspect of burns survivors and what can be done to support them.
A huge thank you to the RBWH Foundation and their staff (Marty Molloy, Ben Zabel, Lucy Barnes, Karen Gallagher and Rita Grice) and committee members Erica Parker, Betty Yanardasis and Sia Athanasas.
